NIRVANANDA Beanie Co. is family owned and operated in the community of Bird Rock, a warm and beautiful division of La Jolla, California. We started the beanie making for our two children, Nirvana (Daughter) and Ananda (Son). Their combined names become Nirvananda. The two are aspiring snowboarders who compete on the amateur level. In order to help subsidize the cost of competition proceeds from our beanie sales goes directly to the kids snowboarding expenses. Our family Loves to ride! It has become our favorite pastime. We understand being boarders ourselves, that individuality on the mountain is important to people. Its what makes us unique. What board we ride, brand of clothes we wear, jibber or free-rider, deep pow or a 100ft quadruple-kink-rail... The characteristic that seems to distinguish a persons “look” is their BEANIE. Our beanies allow you to be you! Each beanie is delicately handcrafted with you in mind.

Through our beanies we would like to express the passion and the fun of what snowboarding has given to us. We would like to share this with you and to tell the World that the most important things in Life are "Family, Friends, Love and Laughter"! So if you see us on the Mountain please stop and say hi. Because a friend is a present you give yourself.
